Sharing folders in the server

How can I share a shared folder from the server to my client? Is it possible to share a shortcut? Let's say I'm connected to the share in the server and I want client who connects to my computer access that share through my computer.

First, you have to make sure that the hard drive is shared.

On folder properties, when you do the sharing, you have to set permissions. You can be as broad as you want (by setting "Everyone" with full access) or as specific as you want (by setting each individual with either Full access, read or write permissions)

It is not possible to share a shortcut.

Also, check your TCP/IP settings to make sure that the computers can "see" the server and the shared drive/folders.

1. share the server folder with enough permissions for the user to access.
2. ensure that the servers tcp/ip address is in the host file on the client.
3. map a drive to the shared folder on the server.
4. create a shortcut
