samba

by glee610 In reply to Sharing in linux

You have to install a program called samba. The configurations depends on what your network is like and what you want. For example, my samba is part of workgroup mshome and sharing my home space. The printing share off my gf computer (windows comp is shared and connecting vea samba, which is all put in the config file.

This all depends on distro of linux too. I am currently running gentoo so, for me to install it. I would have to type: emerge samba. that is just very basic understanding.
good luck
