I’m unable to share any of my printers on my local PC with Vista Ultimate. When I try to check “share” check box in printer sharing detail, nothing happen and when I open dialog again it’s unchecked.
In eventlog I can find following error (my loose translation from localized Czech event descripton):
“There was an error in print pooling service while sharing printer Brother HL-2030
series with the share name Brother. Error 1740. Other users in network can’t use the printer.”
In the Sharing center is item “printer sharing” switched to Off. When I try to switch it to On it will generate the same error to event log for each of installed printers.
I tried everything and the only result is always the same event in event log.
Any help (advice) is welcome!

Disabling all non MS services and all programs after start allowed me to share the printer correctly.
