Sharing printer in a peer-to-peer netwrk

By dangrimes ·
I am running a DOS program in a Windows environment (9 and the problem is that within the program you have the option to print. At the workstation that the printer is physically connected to, it prints fine. AT all other workstations that are sharing the printer, it will not print until after you exit the program. I tried changing the spool settings with no avail. Any ideas???

Sharing printer in a peer-to-peer netwrk

That's one of the fun parts of DOS spooling.

DOS still has the printer stream open, and doesn't send EOF to the spooler before closing.

If it's your own application, re-code to open/print/close. If not, I'm 99% sure you're SOL.

The first answer looks good to me. If that doesn't work, try something else. Hope this helps.
