I am sharing a printer which is connected on USB port on a Windows 7 Desktop. It is a network of 3 computers connected by a switch. No DHCP. All systems are having self configured IP address of 169.xxx.xxx….. series. One computer has Windows 10. I have successfully connected installed printer on Windows 10 PC by allowing file and printer sharing on both PCs but when I print a test page the Windows 10 PC displays ‘getting status’ message and nothing is printed.
