sharing resources

I have a windows98 pc connected in windows network.Access control for sharing resources is on user lavel basis.When I try to share some resource and try to add the user it gives error that user list is not availabel at this time please try later.I compaired relavent reg. keys with that of working pc.And copied related dlls from working pc But still problem is there.Please help
