I am running a Win2k Advanced server, networked to a Win 95 workstation. The Win95 workstation will allow me to map to shared drives on the server, but the server will not allow me to connect to shares on the Win95 workstation.
1) I am using the same username and password as my win95 login. I get “Incorrect username or password”. I am attempting this logged on to the server as administrator, but am supplying the correct set of credentials. I do not have a domain controller configured, but rather a ‘workgroup’.
The server see’s the share, but will not let me connect. Any help would be much appreciated.
2) Also does anyone know what the correct registry fix is for a win2k Advanced server to connect to a Samba share? This is a dual homed server, but under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ I do not see ‘\Rdr\Parameters’, or ‘\VxD\
VNETSUP’, again keeping in mind that this is a dual homed server.
