She’s here!

Our first grandchild has finally made her appearance! Emma Ruth was born last night. She weighs 8 lbs and 6 oz and is 21 inches long.

My stepdaughter called around 6:00pm and said she was going to the hospital. Emma was born less than 2 hours later. I got to hear her cry, but haven’t seen a picture yet. We’ll go to Maryland in three weeks to see her. As soon as I get a picture, I’ll post it.

My middle name is Ruth. I’ve always disliked the name, but now, I think it’s beautiful!
