Shift key not recognise in win2k setup

I have juz formatted my notebook from win98 to win2k. When installing win2k it prompted that shift key is not recognised. When i reinstall win98 it able to detect it. How can this problem be solved?

Hmmm that is a strange one, but after doing a little research I would guess you might need to reinstall the Windows 2000 again on top of the old one. Also, if you have a diagnostic program, I would do a keboard test just to make sure. Hope this helps!

thanks... i've did that initially but still dun work so i juz use good old win98 again

Check the laptops manufactures site to see if the hardware is compatable with w2k. They may also have some patches or a Bios update.
