shift key + mydatabase and I get error

by aaronjs . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

In my Access database I went to Tools > Startup > unchecked Display Database Window (so the Database Window is not displayed on startup).

But when trying to redisplay the Database Window on startup:
When I hold down the shift key while clicking on mydatabase.mdb I get the following error: “This file is too large for Notepad to ope. Would you like to use WordPad to read this file?”.
However: When I right click mydatabase.mdb and then select open while holding down the shift key it works (the Database Window is displayed on startup).

After just being at the “Discovering the Secrets of Microsoft Access” seminar, the instructor told me to check the file associations.
Well, I did and can not find anything wrong, am I doing anything wrong?
Is there somewhere else to check?
Something wrong in the Registry?

Where do I look!
