shockwave flash object locking printer

by madeinmontana . Updated 19 years, 10 months ago

I have a 7 PC network, all Win98se, 1 as file server, 1 as print server, and the rest workstations. Recently the printer would quit working after attempts to print from 2 workstations, print spooler would not release a file descibed as ‘shockwave flash object’. Thought it was associated as an email print job but seems to appear with most of any print jobs. I go in and delete the folder and then I can print a few jobs, and then the flash object reappears and locks up the printer and no one can print again. No help from macromedia site or Microsoft, (maybe I’m wording it wrong.) Anybody have an answer or helps? thanks to all.
