Shoretel Communicator not saving Speed Dial list

We recently went to a Shoretel system and are in the process of installing Communicator on everyone's workstations. We have a number of users who want a speed dial list created (that they can access via the Speed Dial soft key that is visible when you press the Directory button on the phone). Unfortunately we have found that our attempts to create Speed Dial lists will not hold. Once a user logs out, the list in their Communicator is completely gone. We have also noticed that on their phones the Speed Dial soft key is grayed out and unable to be used. Does anyone have any solutions to this or suggestions what to try?

I take it nobody else has had a similar issue?

Another related one we've noticed in addition to this is that you can add an additional phone to ring when a certain extension is dialed. (We have some wireless Polycom Spectra8300 phones with our Shoretel system.) Unfortunately the AddOn/AddOff button is no longer working to turn on/off the extra phone from ringing. It did originally when we first set them up and now it does not (although the AddOn/AddOff softkey is not grayed out like the Speed Dial softkey).
