I’m running a firewall/file server under Mandrake 10.1. For the life of me I can’t connect to Webmin on that box from other local machines. I’m reasonably certain that it’s an issue with Shorewall. I have tried every rule under the sun trying to get it to work but no-go. I can run Webmin fine locally. But remotely, it appears to just “Drop” the request. The browser will continue to “work” forever without ever returning a message.
As an internet firewall, it masquerades fine. Anything obvious that I’m missing?
