My system is screwed up I want install another copy of xp on a new drive until I recover my data which is spread all over the drives.will disconnect other drives first till new install is on C: as it is (disk 1) C drive 250 gig is archive says healthy (system) (disk 0) E primary boot total drive 250 gig E partition 141 gig G partition 92 gig (healthy) (disk 2) D drive total 320 gig D part 48 gig healthy F partion local drive 251 gig (pagefile) all sata among myriad of problems noway to get to bios recovery console installed to c drive of no use plus others so will I be able install another copy of my xp disk until I sort it out also doing the updates.Please ask if you need added info. I should say it is still working ok but if it goes down I am #$%@*&. I thought about using ghost or acronis but I think it will be of little use in my circumstances.With system files on C windows on E I am guessing thats where the MBR is thats where recovery console defaulted to and why there no way to get to BIOS??????
