Shortcut Menu Commands

By techwine ·
Does anyone know of any menu commands in ANY program that would bring up a listing of all keyboard shortcuts in that program? If not, what about alternatives?

Generally, if you go to the Help --> Index and type in "shortcuts" or "keyboard shortcuts", then you may find some shortcuts (if the documentators added them in the help list).

An alternative would be to go to each of the toolbar options at thetop and compile your own list of shortcuts.

Here's a good article on the subject:

Weneva i get software without a manuale I get a pice of paper and not down all te differnt key combonations. It might sound abvoius and it is a littkle time consuming but it is worth it. Firt test allthe starnd function, Crtl-Z for undo, Crtl-S for save and so on. Then try out the funtion keys, F1 is usally always help. Then for example if it is a wordproc prog. type somethign and higlight it and then press Crtl and every letter, ntoing if and which ones have an efect. Then repeat with Alt and again with Ctrl-Alt. Well thats about it really, although if its a decent bit of software you can uslly find shortcut listings in the online manule, on the company website. Otherwise give what I said a go
