Should I install windows on my SSD instead of my HDD?

Dear computer experts
Recently I switched from an older msi gaming pc to an acer predator orion 5000 (i7, 32GB, RTX3080). This is an improvement in every way! However, the startup time is much slower. I suspect this is because the windows system of my new predator was installed on the HDD when I bought it. The boot time of my MSI was lightning fast because then windows was on my SSD.
The question I want to ask is, is it better to move the Windows operating system from my HDD to my SSD? If so, what’s the best way to do this? And why would Acer install it on the HDD by default?
thanks in advance

Three questions, so three answers:
1. Yes, much better and universally done.
2. See if can clone the HDD to the SSD. Then remove the HDD and see if the machine will boot. A clean install is an alternative if no luck.
3. Did Acer do the Windows installation? Then ask them. -

If you’re going to use HDD and SSD together, you can install the Windows on the SSD and store others on the HDD. The SSD makes the system more reliable. If you have an old computer that has the HDD, it’s better to just reinstall Windows on the SSD and keep the HDD for backups
