I was wondering if I should switch to Google as I am currently using Microsoft Edge. Which one uses the least amount of RAM? Also which one gives me the most benefits and is easily accessible?

You can install Chrome (and other browsers) to compare with your current choice. Then use the one you like most. It’s all your choice. There is no “should”.

They both do the same thing, pick whichever you prefer to use. There are no appreciable differences and one is not better than the other.

It appears all the name browsers use more RAM than years ago.

Why? Speed. You can test across all the browsers and frankly find the same answer I found.

I switched from Edge to Chrome a while back, and I found that Chrome tends to use more RAM than Edge, but it also has tons of extensions and a smoother experience for some sites. If RAM usage is your main concern, you might want to stick with Edge. It’s pretty efficient and integrates well with Windows.

Switching between browsers depends on your needs. Google Chrome has a reputation for being fast, having a wide range of extensions available, and syncing seamlessly across multiple devices. However, Microsoft Edge offers excellent performance as well, with a lower memory usage and features such as vertical tabs and a reading mode built-in. In the event that you are deeply integrated into the Google ecosystem, Chrome may feel more intuitive. Otherwise, Edge is a good choice, especially for Windows users.
