    Shut Down Porblem

    I got a PII 128MB Loptop with XP Pro.!
    When shut down XP pro, it can’t auto Power off on my loptop. I did try enable “APM”…but still doesn’t work..!
    Can anyone tell me how to fix it ..

      There are two issues I can think of. One good, one bad.
      The good is that auto power off or Soft switch power might not be enabled in your BIOS. It is under Power Management.

      The bad, maybe your motherboard might not support the auto power off. My old P II 350MHz did…

      That is all I can think of.

      First, install the ‘critical’ updates from Microsoft. Many problems have been fixed by the patches.

      Then, try the shutdown trouble-shooting guide posted at http://www.aumha.org

      I’m using Win2000 b4 ..there’s no problem for the power off.
      I also try to config in the BIOS but it doesn’t work as well.!
