Shutdown reboot loop

Every time I shutdown my desktop (IBM Clone) computer it automaticly reboots. I am using WIN98SE and yes I have already disabled advanced power management. Please help.

Check the system for viruses,and your configuration settings their could be a program still processing in the backgroun

The cause could be a overheating problem of the cpu,you will need to take the cover off and check to see fan is working and then check for overheating

Check the Power Supply fans also,it will cause problems that are difficult to determine

If your pc crashes alot I would blame overheating and power issues but not so much rebooting. start up and go into safemode, don't change anything and tell the pc to shut down, if it does shut down then it is a driver problem. use the win98se diskand do an install over the top to keep your files and this should rectify the problem.

Tried it and it did not help.
