Shutdown Windows 2000 Server Automatical

Is there a way to set the windows where at a certain time, the windows 2000 server will be automaticaaly shutdown ?

Can it be done in the registry or is there free utility ?

There are a lot of freeware and shareware utilities that do this.

Go to:

www.tucows.com and search for "shutdown" for your win2000 server.

Rather than risk a 3rd party utility, use shutdown.exe from the reskit. : )

Use the scheduler and shutdown.exe from the reskit.

sample:
at \\myserver 1:00AM /interactive /every:monday "shutdown /l /r /c /y"


so every monday at 1am the serve will reboot (/l /r), the shutdown command will be able to interact with the currently logged in desktop and close (/c) any open applications, answering yes (/y) to any pop dialog about saving open files.

Works like a champ.
