Here is the first major problem you are having. Does it say AOL anywhere on your system? If so uninstall AOL get a good ISP and never, never install AOL again. Problem solved.

Although I share the sentiments of Frostyone above regarding AOL, here're some suggestions.

Uninstall and reinstall AOL. If there are any other services like People PC, Earthlink, or Netzero installed, remove them prior to reinstalling AOL.

I deal with AOL problems frequently. Software is unstable and creates problems.

If the reinstall doesn't work, post back with exactly what you did and what is still occuring.

The error message you are getting is sometimes associated with a driver.

When you install AOL it diddles with your whole system. When there is a problem with their software you can bet that AOL won't admit it unless the courts make them.

Totally uninstall AOL. Update your computer with all of microsoft updates. Check for driver updates or if it is a branded computer go to their site and check to see if there are any updates or issues that might apply to your situation.

Do a complete computer scan for virus, spyware, malware, ect.

Try a different version of the aol software.

When all else fails get a different ISP.

Good Luck
