signal error

When my computer boots up I get a signal error on my monitor

Check your Dislplay card and your DATA cable to the Monitor.

Test the monitor on a good system. If it works...

Reseat the video card. If video still doesn't work or it is "on-board" video (i.e. no video card) you will have to download the manual for your motherboard to see how to disable this feature. Then install a new PCI video card.

If this MB has an AGP video card, the BIOS on some MB's default to a PCI graphics card and will not display on an AGP card. Put in a cheap PCI card to see the BIOS (and make sure the monitor actually works properly), then change it to AGP graphics.
