Signature does not work

By techrepublic ·
When replying to a email that was sent in a text format our signature does not attach to the email.
Any ideas?

You don't identify the program you are using to handle email, but since this is in the Office 2K forum I'll assume Outlook. If that is correct, check the following setting.

From the Tools Menu select Options. Click the Mail Format Tab and view the section at the bottom regarding signatures. Make sure there is NOT a check-mark in the box for 'Don't use when replying or forwarding.'

If your signature is in HTML format, and if there is a graphic, then it would not be added to a text message.

Create 2 signatures, one for HTML, and another for plain text. Remember that the conversion from Outlook/Exchange to something like Lotus Notes does not keep formatting and only converts to text.
