Signature file in Outlook

By c.delosreyes ·
Hi,

Is there a procedure for creating a signature file to be used by many Outlook users? Like the e-mail disclaimer automatically placed below every clients e-mail. We have about 200+ Outlook users and we cannot configure every workstation to have auto signature file. Can we do this in our Exchange server?

If you have the BORK 2nd Edition (TECHNET) there is a free utility which you place on the IMS which can do a number of things with email passing through it; one of which is adding footer text (disclaimer) to the bottom of every email.

Or you can purchase a product such as Mimesweeper.

Yes! Found the docs at the BORK, tried it. Was able to append signature text as in company disclaimer. But the mail now is only good for sending but no receiving! I found out later that MS recommends NOT TO USE IT! Can you believe that?

Another program you can try is Mail Essentials. It comes with a lot of features like adding disclaimers, watching for certain emails, etc. The answer to your question will probably be resolved by purchasing a third party software.

Good Luck

Instead of using Mail Essentials i recommend using Nemx Software. I recently installed it on my exchange 5.5 server and never looked back. It enables you to do all kinds of filtering and rerouting a and header or footer attachements. what makes it differ from mail essentials is that it completely integrates with Exchange oppose to Essentials. not port changing nothing.
Take a look. www.nemx.com

Was able to download the trial version tested it. But as the docs says it only works with IMS and not on internal mail. Client wants to have disclaimer without buying any 3PP software and they want to configure the "function" only on the MS Exchange Server and not on every client.

Thanks anyway, I guess if worst comes to worst I will recommend NEMX after all.
