Simple idea, complex solution….

I need your help! I am a designer, not a programer but want to add a bit of automation to a site.

I want to make a single page of the whole site be updateable by a total novice using a web browser and an “admin” form web page to do it. I dont want to have to edit the page and upload all the time for things that are annoyingly small and yet dynamic.

we are talking simple here… (the project would allow a secretary to toggle an indication of facilities being either open or closed.) thats all… a list of facilities and the ability for her to navigate to a page and turn their status on and off.

PHP? CGI? ASP? how do i do this without taking time i dont have to learn a new program language and install massive amounts of programs to servers????

help!
John
