simple W2k install

Ive installed Nt with few problems, but W2K is giving me trouble. I want to install a W2K as a PDC (it will be the only server), set up a 5 user group and a share.
Sound simple but Id appreciate some help. Is there anywhere I can get a simple step by step instructions to do this. For instance is the server part of a “domain” or a “workgroup”..I know it needs to be a member of the workgroup but it should also be the primary domain controller.
The server will be nothing more than a file server.Any help appreciated. PS I downloaded a couple of the step by step instructions from here but they asked more questions than I could answer.
