Single Adapter - Multiple IP Address

By tokunboh.oladejo ·
I am trying to bind multiple IP Address onto a single adapter on a laptop PCMCIA card, I have edited the registry and bind the IP in the registry and the multiple gateway, also I have included "DeadGateway=1" in the necessary location of the registry. However the laptop doesn't seems to be searching for alternative gateway, when the default gateway is not available. I have tried the same steps on a desktop and it works fine. Could the problem be isolated to laptops or particular PCMCIA cards.

i would say your PCMCIA card does not support this kind of activitiy. as the old saying goes you get what you pay for . i would try looking up specs on other cards and compare them to your card

I have tried another laptop with the same type of card, and that works fine.
