I have a Dell M5200 laser printer on a very basic network. There is no active firewall. Just this week an unusual problem popped up. A single PC on our network will randomly drop its connection to this printer. This same PC can print to other shared printers on the network, but not the Dell laser. Other PCs on the same network/workgroup can print to the Dell during this time. The only way I’ve discovered to get it printing again is to remove the printer, reboot and reinstall the printer. Rebooting alone has no affect. The PC in question has been printing under the same setup for over a year without issue until now. OS: Windows XP Pro SP2.
Any suggestions?
