Site doesn't show up on search engines

Hi,
I recently created a web site and can't get it to show up when i search for it on the search engines. I used the Meta name= tags for description and keywords, but still nothing. How can i get this to work? Thanks!

There's a lot more you have to do to get listed on search engines besides meta tags. Here are a few sites that should tell you everything you need to know:

You have to register with each search engine. There are certain criteria that you must follow to be allowed on each search engine. You should check out the different search engine sites and find out what you are required to do in order to have your website recognized by their search engines.
