VPN Connection

Hi Wajid,

First of all you need to create a VPN connection between the UK Router and the Pakistan Router.
If this is successful, you will be able to ping the remote routers at both ends.Once this is working, just add the VPN connection on the Windows 2000 Server using Network and Dial-Up Connections/Make New Connection/Connect to a private network through the internet. You can use something like PC Anywhere/RDP and Terminal Server or VNC to remotely control the Server.

Two options are possible.

1. Assuming your Win2k server is behind a router, the router may be able to be configured to handle the VPN connection to the network in the UK.

2. Set RRAS up on the Win2k server. Configure for type of VPN connection that you want (L2TP or PPTP).

Clients can be configured in network properties, you can use the wizard to configure it.
