Slaving a hard drive into a machine with a RAID to copy old data won’t let the computer boot all the way. It gets to “verify DMI data pool” and then locks up. I’ve tried clearing the CMOS and tried the slave drive as master and as slave on both the primary and secondary IDE channels. I even tried to slave in a completely different HD to make sure that was not the problem.
Any ideas?
