A network user is running Microsoft Office 2003 applications under Windows XP on a Windows 2003 network. Within the last month, he began experiencing a problem with the file access window (open & save) for locally stored files and those residing on a W2K3 server. When he opens a folder within the popup window, the application does not respond for several minutes. Sometimes ?Not Responding? appears on the header; whether the message appears or not the folder does eventually opens. He can think of no event that triggered this problem. The waiting time for each file to open is a nuisance. OS is fully patched. Does anyone know of a fix?
