Three months ago because of downsizing I had to combine two offices into one. Each office had its own server NT4.0 and 3 or 4 hubs. Combined I now have 2 servers 7 hubs and a nearly full class C ip address range, I have 1 ip remaining. The servers are compaq proliant 800 400mhz with 196mb ram. They are only file servers. The problem is now that I am getting alot of complaints that the network is slow. I am thinking of adding more ram to the servers and installing switches instead of the hubs. Is there anything else I can do to increase performance. Would putting another nic in the servers help.
