I have made a workgroup of three computers in win 98 with wingate on a computer for connecting other two pcs to internet. The problem I am facing is that the pc named sub1 when shifted on a 30 ft cat v cable from a 10 feet cable has gone almost dead.When network neighbourhood is opened the pcs take a very long time say 15/20 minutes to get connected.
The protocols installed are tcp/ip and netbeui with following ip addresses:
192.168.100.1 (main with wingate)
192.168.100.2 (sub)
192.168.100.3 (sub1)
