Slow opening Word 2003 Document from Hyperlink in Access 2007

Running Vista Business and Office 2007.
When opening a word 2003 document from a hyperlink in Access is very slow 40-50 secs.
Creating a hyperlink takes ages to open the edit hyperlink dialog windows.
Has anyone experiencing the same problem?
Thanks
