System: K6-450 w/256mb, 15gbHD, Win 2K Pro, HP1100 LaserJet and Linksys EPSX3 3 port print server. All device drivers W2K new and approver by MS. When printing anything from anywhere print is slow. Takes up to 2 minutes to print first page and almost as long to print the next pages. Same setup under Win98 works fine. When printer folder is opened to see whats up, file name and size is OK, but date always = 6:PM 12/31/986. How about that! This date doesn’t cone from the device driver or the print server. When “Print” is clicked, printer buffer light blinks (printer was polled) but takes long time to print as if no data was sent to it until some time has passed. Same with printing second page on to last page. Printer has 18meg installed, server is buffered, 10/100, works bi-directional. Remember works just fine under Win98. Whats wrong? TPC/IP? Print Spooler? ???
