Slow Printing on a Network

By eduardo.cm ·
Im having trouble with a PC running Windows Vista. Of a group of 15 PCs of same model one of them takes 10 - 15 min longer in printing documents and scanned images. Ive checked the spool service and it takes a long time loading the documents, longer than the other PCs. All the PCs and printer have fixed IPs. Any help would be appreciated.

How's it connect?

Is this a network printer, a printer off of a single server, or a USB or a parallel local printer? We'll need to know how it's connected before anyone can be of much help.

Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and stop the Print Spooler. Turn off the printer. Now go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS and delete the files there. Now turn your printer back on and restart the service.

Have you installed the driver locally on the computers or via a server share? Have you used used the same driver? PS / PCL5e ?
