We are using Outlook 2000 and Exchange server 5.5 sp4 and are experiencing very slow updates to one of our public folders containing contacts. When a contact is saved or deleted there is a delay of approximatly 45 seconds, during this time Outlook will not respond to any user input. All other public folders are working at an acceptable speed.
The way I was able to solve this problem in the past by copying the public folder. I am unable to “fix” the problem by copying this time because our users will lose the link to this folder if they have created desktop shortcuts to the folder.
