Small Business Backup Solutions

I’ve run into a problem that is so simple it is complicated. I’m looking to backup Windows Server 2003 R2 and a separate MySQL server running on a separate Ubuntu box and I am just so sick of tape backup, there has to be a better way to do it. All of the really good options are outside my clients budget range. I’ve set up RAID for onsite backup, but I really want a better solution than tape for offsite. I was considering replicating the MySQL server through an online provider, but I am still left with what to do to backup the Windows Server that is both the domain controller and hosts the Exchange system. Downtime is something they can deal with, data loss is not. I send this out to the collective braintrust here, what do you recommend?
