I am interested in getting others opinions about small business consulting. I have about two years experience working for a company as a VB programmer, and was able to work on some browser-based projects involving xml/xsl, sql server, in addition to vb.
Having been “independent” for the last 8 months, I’m wondering if I would be better served focusing on how to create solutions with VBA (primarily, integrating the office suite) for smaller companies or if I should continue to pursue a certification like the MCSD.
Is it primarily dependent on the market I wish to work in? ie: smaller companies vs. larger companies? I can see the pros and cons of both… anyone have any thoughts?
