We are running SBS 2000 which was an upgrade version from SBS 4.5 We have decided it would be best to remove and reinstall Exchange to resolve several issues. MS says to put the #1 SBS CD in the drive, and use the “add/remove software” wizard from the control panel, choose SBS 2000 then click on “Change/Remove” and select Exchange (Q194810). However when we click on the “Change/Remove” we get a small window that says “Setup is loading installation components. This may take a minute or two.” The server hangs at that point and will not continue with the wizard. This window will not go away unless we reboot, or use Task Manager to kill the process.
I need to know how to remove Exchange and reinstall it without reformatting the harddrives.
