Smart Card Authentication

in Windows XP local Security Policy, You can enable the requirement for a smart card to logon! Where can ou dsable this in the registry?

I am not aware of a registry hack but the service itself can be disabled in XP. Check your services and disable the SCardDrv. This will disable smart card support on the machine itself.

You will need to use an administrative template in a group policy object. Details on creating and using administrative templates can be found in the excerpt of Windows Hacks:

I really recommend that you pick up the O'Reilly book if you are using Active Directory a great deal.
