I did get one drive returned from Seagate that sounds positively nasty.
It's a Rebuild after failing and as such doesn't have any acceptable warranty. It does pass the Seatools Test and has worked in an external Caddy for over 3 years now but it's not something that I place any trust in and after filling it up it now lives in a Plastic HDD Container in a Safe.
