I have an up and running SMS 2.0 with SP2, in a single domain, NT4 SP6a environment with 150 NT4 clients. I also had an up and running SMS MMC running on my desktop (with all admin privileges). Suddenly 2 days ago, every time I want to open SMS, I get ‘Connection Failed’ when MMC tries to open my site’s code and database.
I have no problem opening the site\collections on the server it self. But on two different desktop MMC’s I am having this problem. I?ve tried the following but yet the problem still exist:
-De-installed my desktops SMS mmc, reinstalled SMS admin console and applied both SP6a and SMS SP2.
-Took out the SMS administrators and my own user name and re-added them through security rights.
-Applied these articles:Q229091, Q248823 AND Q201126, but no result.
Any other suggestions would be highly appreciated.
