Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event".

How many of you folks consider your blizzard conditions an exciting event?

I've been calling the Man-Caused Global Warming and/or Climate Change claim a big lie for the past ten years or more. I've been on the cutting edge of calling out these liars and charlatans.

How many times do these people have to be proven wrong before they're totally discredited? Before the claim is discredited?

Question: How many people who hang out at the TR Water Cooler have actually changed their position, from being a MM-GW/CC believer to one who now knows it's a huge scam and big lie?

I'd say

about five...
The net movement may have been in the opposite direction though.

That's just a guesstimate, of course... you people are resistant to me mind-probe ; which is why I enjoy discussing with you all so much.

None of us. We all know your opinion is wrong and dangerous. Comparable to those who tell people that if they all stand on top of a hill on a certain day, the aliens will take you away to paradise.

Definitely.

The aliens come and take you away to ****.

As I see it

Max has formed his opinion based more on his politics, I don't think he has looked deeply into the science and technical side of global warming. The increased volatility of the Australian weather fits the model many knowledgeable climate scientist have developed based on the higher mean earth temperature. The planet is definitely getting warmer. Of course the temperature of this planet has been hotter and colder in the past, but the natural factors that have been responsible in the past are not responsible this time around, this time it is human industrial pollution that is the cause. Max is good at pointing out how it is not fair on our children with our financial debt. I think we should not burden them with our environmental debt also.

Unfortunately

I see no way NOT to burden our children with a multitude of 'debt'. Lack of foresight is our excruciating weakness.

The short of the long, however...

is that being less wasteful makes economic sense, too.
Growth for the sake of growth is peeing the pants to stay warm in the frost... what happens when the flow stops?

you said, Max has formed his opinion based more on his politics? Really?

by maxwell edison In reply to As I see it

I've called the MM-GW/CC question one that does not belong in politics. It should not be a political issue. How can it be my politics driving my opinion if I'm one who does not want it politicized?

You choose to Ignore the basic science

And pretend GW caused by increased CO2 and other contributing gasses by products of industrialisation is not happening. The only way to reduce this damage from continuing requires a world wide effort and Governments intervening to prevent this. You don't like the thought of any Government telling you how to live your life. As much as you don't like this approach I can't see individual responsibility solving this world wide problem. Your answer, call all the scientists and any politician a liar. Of course there will be from the politicians a bit of a vested interest and they will want the credit for saving the planet, but if nothing is done, it will not go away and we will leave our children and grandchildren with a much bigger problem.

If you don't want to believe in global warming Max, who really cares, as by yourself, your opinion is of no value in doing something to solve GW, as the more enlightened are beginning to see the truth and hopefully the politicians will get enough balls to make the tough decisions necessary.

So Max, are you as stupid as to ignore the sound science behind GW, or is it that you enjoy a bit of sh*t stirring for sport and entertainment.

So you acknowledge that it's you politicizing the issue, not me.

You said, "Max has formed his opinion based more on his politics."

I think I adequately addressed that false assertion. But instead of acknowledging your mistaken comment, you go on and on about how and why you are politicizing the question.

Round and round we go.

P.S. And after dogknees incorrectly claimed that I was calling my TR peers liars, I wonder if dogknees will call-out j-mart for calling me stupid. For some reason, I doubt it.

. . . . . as the more enlightened

..... as the more enlightened are beginning to see the truth and hopefully the politicians will get enough balls to make the tough decisions necessary.

Ah yes, the enlightened ones. They know best how to decide all things. We lowly and stupid fools know nothing. We don't know what's best for us; but the enlightened ones do.

By the way, where might one find the enlightened flavored kool-aid? You know, just in case I want to get a good dose of enlightenment.
