I installed a modem for a client on win95, everything seemed fine. I
installed the Driver, Protocols and etc. etc. BUT when I tried to dial up.
It gave me an error: “Could not dial because the socket is already open.
Some other software might be using the modem”. And of course there was no
other software using the modem. I tried installing evering from scratch.
This didn’t work. Any suggestions on what the problem might be. (I am a bit
reluctant on reinstalling windows since I doubt I will have the neccecary
drivers and it is an fairly old system).
When I query the modem in the modem properties for “More Info”. It works fine.
