    How do historical charts and recordings help in software testing?

      That depends on what the charts show and what the recordings recorded and maybe on the software you test. Nothing can be said in general.

      So please detail your question. Where did you read they would help, and what examples were given? It’s a rather strange question for someone wanting to start a career in software testing.

      Chart and Recordings are key metrics that showcases pass/fail rates to allow visualize trends. This phenomena is called the identifying Regressions. Also, for performance analysis, root cause analysis and load testing analysis these historical charts and recordings are used.
