Solitaire cards don’t move

I know this is bizarre, but I aim to please my users.

I have two systems where this is a problem. In Solitaire, the cards do not visibly move. Once I ‘move’ a card, I know it has happened, because the ‘Undo’ option becomes avaiable.

Connected to this is Freecell. When a game is started, the cards appear on the bottom of the screen HUGE and overlapping each other.

Both games a quite useless. I have tried changing screen resolution. I searched Microsoft’s site for an answer.

Anyhelp would make my users happy. And user’s playing solitaire are users that don’t call me. 🙂
