SonicWall remote client VPN issues…

I have a SonicWall PRO2040 that includes five client remote access licenses – for the software version so that an individual may connect into the network from the road. I have the latest version of this software – 4.0. It appears that the VPN connects just fine – both the PRO2040 and the remote computer say the VPN is connected but I cannot connect into my network in any way. Any ideas?
