I downloaded the Global VPN Client for Sonicwall TZ-170 version 4.0 on my home computer tonight.
I was able to make the VPN connection but could not ping my office PC IP address or others within the network. I also tried telnet to a RISC and RDP to my office PC but not successful..
What am I missing?

I assume that you setup a local user on the router. In the settings for that user, on the VPN access tab, did you give access to Firewalled Subnets? If not, that should allow you to ping IP addresses. Additioanlly, on the VPN policy's "Advanced" tab, setting it to allow NetBIOS will allow you to access the LAN's computers by their FQDN.
If that helps or you have further questions, please let me know. Thanks.
